Leadership

Philosophy

My approach to building academic initiatives focus on three key principles:

  • fostering interdisciplinary collaboration that transcends traditional departmental boundaries
  • creating sustainable partnerships with industry and government that align research with real-world impact
  • integrating research and education to ensure that students are both contributors to discovery and beneficiaries of cutting-edge training

My life and my career have been incredibly blessed, and leadership along these dimensions is a powerful way for me to give back.

Spiritual Foundation

“[W]hoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

– Jesus, in Matthew 20:26-28
